School Organizes the 10th Scrabble Inter school Competition

Both tiles and tensions ran high, as we played host to the Tenth Inter School Scrabble Competition. The scrabble contest, an annual event hosted by the school, saw students from over twenty five schools across Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula taking part in the globally popular word challenge. This year witnessed the maximum number of participants.

 

An eminent and a highly respected educationist Mr. Jagdeep Singh Arora, Senior Academic at Tata Class Edge with years of experience having completed his Ph.D and double M.B.A. and papers published in national and international journals was invited to be the Chief Guest.

 

Students from Classes V to XII challenged their vocabulary and spelling skills as they made their way through various rounds of the competition. 

 

The teachers and other players were left amazed as students no older than 14 years exhibited their power of vocabulary, besides it helped to improve their thinking as well as planning skills. In addition, they felt proud of representing their school experienced how important fair play is.

 

  Mayukh Thakur of our School, bagged the first prize from group A whereas Pranav Thakur from Gurukul Global, Manimajra and Unat Kaur from Doon International, Mohali secured the second and third positions respectively.    

 

Rishik from Manav Mangal bagged the first prize from group B whereas Shrishti and Dhruv from Saupins and Gurukul Global secured the second and third positions respectively.

 

Gurleen of Manav Mangal bagged the first prize from group C whereas Ramandeep and Drishti from our School and Gurukul Global  secured the second and third positions respectively.    

 

Ashish  of Chitkara, bagged the first prize from group D whereas Dev Bhatia and Kaveri   from Shivalik Public School and Gurukul, Manimajra  secured the second and third positions respectively.
