School observes ‘Hiroshima and Nagasaki Day’

The Hiroshima and Nagasaki Memorial Day was observed at our School, with its message of “Peace” to mark the tragedy of the fatal bombing in 1945. A special peace assembly was organised, wherein a minutes silence was observed for the people who lost their lives on this day.

Children also prepared and presented a speech, which covered the cause and effect of what happened on the day. It brought forth the great suffering endured Seventy –three years back in these two beautiful cities of Japan.

Students presented skit on terrorism and the importance of peace for the growth and development of not only our society but also economic well being. This was followed by a group song: ‘Ek tu hi bharosa, Ek tu hi sahaara….’  .

 

Members of  Yuv Sata observed  this day with  school children. They shared valuable ideas on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and also talk about conflict resolution and peace.  Additionally, they also distributed books related to Mahatma Gandhi and prayed for peace in this World
