COMPUTER CARNIVAL ORGANIZED BY KOSHISH EDUCATORS’ FORUM AT OUR SCHOOL CAMPUS

Our School played host to the Annual Computer Carnival organized by KOSHISH Educators’ Forum

 

This year the underlying theme of the competition segments related to ‘Challenging World of a child’.

 

Children these days face a challenging environment due to peer pressure, studies, drugs, internet (social networking sites) and so forth. The theme of the Carnival aimed to understand the emotional stress that our children face and undertake progressive steps for their growth and development. Nearly 20 schools participated in the mega event. The event was successfully organized under the supervision of Mrs. Anu Kumar, Chairperson of KOSHISH Educators’ Forum and Principal of Stepping Stones Senior Secondary School.

 

The students from class III & IV participated in the MS Paint Competition on the Topic : My Family, My World, Stepping Stones International bagged the 1st place , Saupin’s School, Mohali stood 2nd and DAV School sector 8 coveted the 3rd position.

 

Students from classes V & VI participated in the MS Word Poster Making Competition on the topic: CHILD’S GUIDING LIGHT-TEACHER. Shivalik School, Mohali bagged the 1st place, Guru Nanak Public School stood 2nd and Shri Guru Harkrishan Model School coveted the 3rd position.

 

Following them were classes VII & VIII who prepared Power Point Presentations on : The Drug Haze . Smart Wonders School, Mohali bagged the 1st place, St. Annes Convent School stood 2nd and St. Xavier’s Panchkula coveted the 3rd position.

 

Classes IX & X displayed their creativity through Web Designing Competition on Child Protection. Chitkara International School bagged the 1st place, St. Annes Convent School stood 2nd and Smart Wonders School, Mohali coveted the 3rd position.

 

Classes XI and XII took part in the Blog Creation Competition based on the theme Parent-Child Relationship, St. Annes Convent School bagged the 1st place, St. Joseph Sr. Sec. School stood 2nd and St. Soldier International Convent School coveted the 3rd position.

 

Classes IX to XII also pitched their knowledge against each other in a quiz conducted on the said theme as well as specifics about computer software. St. Joseph Sr. Sec. School bagged the 1st place, Guru Nanak Public School stood 2nd and St. Soldier International Public School coveted the 3rd position.

 

Some students no older than 10 years exhibited their talents in the field of computer applications, besides it helped to improve their thinking, planning and data management /presentation skills.

 

Mr. Anuj Duggal, Innovation Program Manager, Intel Software Innovator, gave away the prizes and congratulated the prize winners.
